Paramount had scheduled the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie for June 6, 2014, but has now moved it to August 8, 2014 without any expanation as yet.
Some speculate that the move came about as “Transformers 4″ scheduled for release the same time might cause merchandizing components to bump into each other.
In other words, by spreading it out over the summer toy marketing will not overlap.
