Fred Weintraub, producer of Bruce Lee’s film “Enter the Dragon,” has published his book, “Bruce Lee, Woodstock and Me,” chronicling his days working on the film with its famous star.
In this interview by Black Belt magazine Weintraub explains his book is autobiographical in nature, but it relates the work he did on his 40 martial arts films, and highlights his work with Bruce Lee.
He describes his meeting Bruce Lee for the first time when he was casting “Kung Fu” for Warner Bros. “I found him to be charming, bright and very intellectual. We became good friends” But he couldn’t cast Bruce Lee because the time wasn’t right for an International star.
