People feel Hong Kong gov’t doesn’t give hometown hero Bruce Lee his full due

 

 

40 years after the death of martial artist legend Bruce Lee, the people of Hong Kong gather to honor this legendary hero and martial arts icon in a five-year exhibition of his legacy.

While citizens of Hong Kong happily enjoy the new exhibition at the Heritage Museum and participate in art galleries and street exhibitions set to celebrate Lee’s life, many citizens feel the Hong Kong government is not doing enough for their home town’s biggest star.

Local lawmakers have received countless phone calls in recent weeks from fans who believe Hong Kong shies away from fully acknowledging Bruce Lee’s legacy.
