Bruce Lee inspired raucous gangster drama and yellow tracksuit, not Quentin Tarantino

Japanese director Sion Sono wants to set the record straight that Bruce Lee inspired raucous gangster drama and the yellow jumpsuit in film iconography in his 1973 film, “Game of Death.”The yellow tracksuit was actually Bruce Lee’s idea.

Quentin Tarantino has been receiving credit for wearing it since his recently released film, “Why Don’t You Play in Hell?” Uma Thurman wore a yellow tracksuit in “Kill Bill.” Director Sono as head of “The Bruce Lee Fan Club” vehemently credits Bruce Lee.

Sono directed this latest film starring Quentin Tarantino about the daughter of a clan boss who single-handedly massacres a rival gang.
