Effects from childhood bullying often follow into adulthood

If bullying is not prevented in childhood, it will effect one in adulthood.

Adult signs of childhood bullying:

  • struggle to hold down a regular job and poverty
  • poor social relations
  • poor health

“We cannot continue to dismiss bullying as a harmless, almost inevitable, part of growing up,” says psychological scientists Dieter Wolke of the University of Warwick, “We need to change this mindset and acknowledge this as a serious problem for both the individual and the country as a whole; the effects are long-lasting and significant.”
